Their groundvalue can rises up too a million euro's !!!

bUT .......................... what about quality ? Everyone knows there is a big stock in wines but in Champane this is not the case .
They can sell everything ..even worsted quality!

The quality will be an issue. Making good wine is difficult and making champagne compounds the difficulty. There was a story on National Public Radio this morning talking about the expansion. Can beet farmers become champagne houses?

Thanks for the comment ... That was also my first opinion when I heard the farmers reactions .... Just the new value of their farm-ground looks important for them .... When you 're going into Champagneregion of Aube then you can already see many many differents with Marne region causing quality's of the products .... So I'm afraid for the new villages they won't be able to choose for a good produce .... The money they can earn without bringing some quality is already great ... So ....

What about quality? I have tasted wines from Champagne that were not IMHO the best quality. Being able to call their product Champagne does not quantify a quality product. Expanding the area can enhance the region as. By allowing further craftsmen into the clique' one can hope to see further great wines.

It is the responsibility of the informed and qualified consumers of these wines to post objective and impartial reviews of these products. With information virtually available at any moment to the consumer a sub-par producer will not last long in the market. Hopefully those able to take advantage of this tremendous opportunity will embrace it and not exploit it.

thanks steve for reply !!!!

Do you believe that grain and seed - growers are able to become good Champagnegrowers? I have doubts --- many --- May'be there are some younger farmers with serious vieuws but when we've heard the reactions - there were only wawwww 's in the air about the big groundprices ! Let's hope !!!
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Hear you further !!

Well with global warming, champagne is struggling with decreased yields. They have a market, all celebrations call for their wine good or bad. It's $$ and nothing else, I hear lots of champagne houses are buying land in England, this will be the next great sparkling land.
